Mini Dental Implants

Mini Implants for Lost Teeth at Marineland Dental

mini-dental implants copy Mini implants, also called mini dental implants, are small posts used to replace missing teeth and secure dentures or permanent crowns.

Mini implants are also used for:

  • Crowns and bridges
  • Securing loose or ill-fitting dentures
  • Retaining the lower denture
  • Patients who don’t have enough bone density for standard dental implants
  • Patients who can’t undergo surgery for standard dental implants

Like standard dental implants, mini implants help reduce bone loss and the need for bone grafting procedures. Aside from improving your appearance, mini implants also help restore function, making it easier to chew and enjoy the foods you love.

After a thorough dental examination, your dentist should discuss the implant option that suits you best.

Ask your Washington dentist about the advantages and limitations of mini dental implants. Call Marineland Dental at 509-591-0515 for more information and to book a dental checkup. You may also fill out the appointment form.

Mini implants, or small diameter implants, are great when you don’t have enough width of bone to put them in to. There are these little knife edge ridges which to put an implant into would take one or two bone grafting, sometimes some skin grafting, to get those to enough bone density and size that you could put a standard implant in. Mini implants or small diameter implants are very nice option when a person wants implants but doesn’t want to go through bone grafting.
