Rest Easy While We Work Efficiently

Coming to the dental office is enough to make even the coolest and calmest people a little bit nervous. We’ve seen so many movies and television shows that portray the dental office as a very scary place to be, and we combine those with any and all negative things that have happened to us while we were at the dentist. We create a monstrosity in our heads that just doesn’t exist in most dental offices. In order to help patients stay calm, we offer sedation to our patients who are in need of a little calming down. This allows you, the patient, to have a much better experience!

Nitrous Oxide Sedation
You’ve probably heard of this one! Nitrous Oxide is also known as laughing gas. It is inhaled through a mask and allows your body and mind to relax while we work in your mouth. This form of sedation is offered in most dental offices, and it works for most people.

Conscious Oral Sedation
We also offer oral sedation, which allows you to take the sedation before you even come to the office! Oral sedation is able to calm your nerves even more so than the nitrous oxide, so you will be so relaxed that you might even fall asleep while we work! Don’t worry, we’ll be able to wake you very easily, but you should have a friend drive you to and from the appointment.

Both
We often use these two sedations together in order to limit the amount of oral sedation you would need to take. The two together creates an even more relaxed affect that is easier to control than if you took two doses of oral sedation.

The bottom line is that you will be completely comfortable while we work, which means we can be much more efficient! When the patient is relaxed, we are able to get more work done, which makes the patient happy because it means they won’t have to come back for a second appointment! Contact us today to learn more about our sedation options, and let us know how you feel about coming to the dentist. Let us help you overcome your fears and get the dental care you need.
