Three Steps to a Healthy Smile

1) Floss – The first step to a healthy smile is to use dental floss before you brush. The floss will remove bacteria from between your teeth before you brush. Floss is the number one tool you have against gum disease and decay between your teeth.

2) Brushing – After you floss, go to work with your toothbrush. Be sure it has been replaced in the past 3-4 months, and use fluoride toothpaste. Brush for at least two minutes, covering all surfaces of your teeth, your tongue, and the top of your mouth to remove bacteria and food particles.

3) Six-Month Cleanings – Even with brushing and flossing under control, you should make it a priority to get a dental cleaning every six months. This allows us to remove any remaining bacteria from below the gum line, protecting you from gingivitis and decay.
